Partnership Adds Value To Queensland’s Growing Music Industry
Jazz Music Institute today announced it has entered into a partnership with local music business identity and educator Andrea Smith to deliver specialised Music Business training.
The partnership allows JMI to expand offerings to include both Certificate and Diploma level courses in Music Business under the JMI/Miss Music Biz banner.
The courses will cover all aspects of music business, and be suitable for musicians, as well as those desiring to work as managers, agents and in other areas of music business. Offerings will include the CUS30309 Certificate III in Music Business, CUS40309 Certificate IV in Music Business and CUS50309 Diploma of Music Business.
“I am thrilled to work alongside JMI, says Andrea Smith. The quality of their courses and graduates and the opportunity for music business students to learn on the job with JMI staff and students and in JMI’s Fortitude Valley venue is an opportunity that doesn’t come along often”.
The Music Business program will be open to all desiring to learn about the business of music and cater for all genres. Classes will be flexible with both face to face and blended learning components that allow students to develop a community of collaboration where they can post questions, share ideas, gain feedback on projects and their business and engage in discussions about music.
